Red Bull BC One Finland Cypher took place in Helsinki Saturday the 4th of August. The event was organized as part of annual Kallio Block Party, where thousands of people came to enjoy the great atmosphere, nice beats and quality breaking by the Finnish B-Boys and B-Girls at cloudy yet warm weather.
The guest of honor, Red Bull BC One Allstar, Hong10 took the judging duties alongside with local heroes B-girl AT (Flow Mo) and Slyrre Äs (Rancid Rockers). The South Korean was enjoying the atmosphere in Helsinki to the fullest: "I liked the vibe of the crowd, it was really nice. To me it seemed that everyone was enjoying themselves".
After the tight and high-quality competition, the last battle was between Hatsolo and Hoo hoo, who are both long-term Finnish breakdancers and former BC One Finland Cypher winners. At the end of the night, it was Hatsolo who took home the win and a ticket to the world finals in Switzerland.
Hatsolo was happy about his win and he said that it was a tough competition. The level of Finnish breakdance is higher than before and there are more and more talented youngster coming in to the game. Even Hong10 was impressed with the winner's performance: "He is good, the way he dances is very characteristic".
It seemed that everybody from the dancers to the crowd had a great time and the Saiffa crew, who was the organizer of the event, were happy too. "I think it was the best BC One Cypher ever done in Finland", said the Saiffa head honco Jussi Sirviö.
