The first urban dance camp, Red Bull Bc One Camp, ended today in Madrid with the victory of B-Boy Chey, crowned as the best breaker in the National Final was held today in Florida Retiro de Madrid
More than 1000 people have enjoyed this Easter participating in the different activities scheduled during the Red Bull Bc One Camp
For three days, La Casa Encendida in Madrid has become 'La Casa del baile' (The Home of Dance) thanks to the Red Bull BC One Camp. Three days full of classes, conferences and competitions where true artists from different parts of the world have shared their tips and tricks with national dancers of all ages and disciplines that have not hesitated to come and enjoy a few hours with their Idols. At the end of each day, some 150 B-Boys from all over Spain have competed for one the 16 spots in the final. They have all gathered this afternoon at the Red Bull BC One National Finals held at Florida Retiro.
The great final competition, which has served as the crown jewel to this first urban dance camp held in Spain, has sold out with more than 500 spectators eager to live the excitement in a unique event. Once again, the level of the dancers on the linoleum has been very high and above all, has confirmed the wide variety of styles that today the B-Boying umbrella embraces. We have seen provocative breakers, acrobatics, ground experts and even, affectionate duels ... But Chey from Extremadura region, a well known performer within the scene, has been crowned as the best B-Boy in the country, snatching the title to Xak who had won the prize in the previous three editions.
Chey of the Arcopom and Electroduendes Crew has shown a great technique and an unrelenting originality. Their urban style full of surprising turns has caused that the three judges of the event: B-Boy Menno (world-wide winner of Red Bull Bc One in 2015), B-Boy Extreme (mythical national dancer) and B-Boy Wing (world champion in 2008), gave their unanimous vote to Chey in an exciting final against Xak. The competition has also counted today with the performances of the duo Dandanza and Inox and the Vietnamese resident in Holland and expert in popping, Dey Dey who has managed to lift the public from their seats.
Now, Chey will have to prepare for the great World Final to be held this fall in Amsterdam.
