Red Bull BC One Camp Austria 2018
12 April – 14 April
The Wolfer claimed the title again, and for the second year in a row, he'll represent Austria in the Last Chance Qualifier for the Red Bull BC One World Final in Zurich.
Austria's first Red Bull BC One Camp took place in the prestigious Volkstheater. A place that is normally filled with people in suits & gowns has been taken over by tracksuits and transformed into an urban dance hub for three days. Three days of workshops, lectures, battles and jams. With Menno, Roxrite, B-Girl AT and Lil Zoo on site, the Austrian dance scene had the chance to learn from the absolute breaking elite.
But not only the dance scene could learn from the best: Little Shao gave a photography workshop where camp-visitors could vote on the outcome of each photographer – the winner got the rare chance to become part of the photography team for the Cypher.
Speaking of the Cypher: Hosted by Mario Bee and da Buergermasta & with the tunes of DJ Fleg, DJ Cosmic and BJ Piggo, the Cypher was again an absolute highlight for the Austrian dance scene. 1.000 spectators on site and over hundred thousand viewers who followed globally via live stream made this cypher the biggest event in Austrian breaking history.
In the end, Mustapha Ajdour aka The Wolfer won the final round against B-Boy Harlekin, defended his title and claimed the victory as best b-boy in Austria. It was a unanimous judges' decision – Menno, Roxrite and AT all voted for The Wolfer in the final. Current World Champ Menno explained why, "He was the one, who trained the hardest. He controlled his presence, and for me, he was obviously the best dancer."
Now The Wolfer has the honourable task to battle for the last remaining spot in the World Final 2018. Since he made Top 4 last year, this can only be exciting.
