Lil Zoo Sweeps Cairo

This year's Red Bull BC One was unlike any other. Sixteen of the best B-Boys in the Middle East and Africa gave the performances of their live as the art of Hip Hop shone in contrast against its backdrop: the unique architectural features of the historic Baron's Palace in Cairo.

Accompanied by the cheering of more than a thousand people, Morocco's Lil Zoo won the highly coveted title and will move on to the Red Bull BC One Italy World Final 2015 on November 14. He is the first B-Boy to have won a Red Bull BC One Final three times.

"This year I felt really good because after a hard time and a lot of training I did it again for the third time!" said Lil Zoo of his epic win. "I promise I will represent Middle East Africa in the best way possible in Rome. I can't wait to compete again on the World Stage."

The breaking performances showcased in Cairo were nothing short of exceptional, proving the remarkable level of talent fostering in the region. After an incredible season of impressive performances, competition peaked at the final where participants fought their way in dual battles under the scrutinizing looks of three international judges, who based their decisions on technique, style, and musicality. In the end, Lil Zoo managed to secure the title with a unanimous vote against local favorite B-Boy Klash.

For the first time in the history of the Finals, three Egyptians took part in the competition: B-Boy Klash, B-Boy Mohammed and B-Boy Manchester, in addition to competitors from Oman, Jordan, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, UAE, Lebanon, Bahrain, Kuwait and South Africa.

Two-time Red Bull BC One World Champions, Red Bull BC One All Stars Lilou and Hong 10 and breaking legend Crazy Legs (USA) were the honorable judges for the evening, relying on the stamina and grace of the competitors to determine the winner of each battle.

"It was so surprising this time, but that is the rule of Red Bull BC One, it's always surprising," said Lilou of the night. "I'm proud of the Middle East Africa scene. We saw a beautiful event and we had different styles facing each other throughout."

Lil Zoo will be joining five other Finals winners from North America, Latin America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific, along with 10 of the best B-Boys in the world, carefully selected by a competent team of experts based on their reputation, fame, character and international influence. In the end, 16 of the world's best B-Boys will compete in Rome for a chance to earn the 2015 Title. All events are livestreamed on
